Palapazham payasam (Jackfruit payasam)

This is one of the tastiest payasam. Once you prepare it in your home sure it will be a hatrick everyone will ask you again and again. the preparation is not cumbersome it is an easy process which takes only 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Palapazham        25 -28 pieces
Sugar                     1 1/2 cup
Milk                        3/4 litre to 1 litre
Cocunut                 1/4 (small pieces)
 

Procedure

Deseed the fruit and put in the vessel and add 1/4 cup of milk.

Keep it in the pressure cooker and pressure cook it for 5 to 6 whistles.  

Once the pressure releases change it to the mixer jar and  add milk if required.  

Grind it to a smooth paste and put it to a vessel.   Add sugar and remaining milk. 

Milk should be in the room temperature.  

Keep a kadai in the stove add ghee. Add the chopped coconuts and fry it till a nice aroma comes.   Add it to the payasam.  

Payasam is ready to serve.  

You can serve it chilled or immediately.
