Keep a kadai and add oil
Add kollu ( horsegram) channa dhal and uradh dhal and red chillies. Saute it till the dhal becomes golden
If you like you can also add methi seeds also. But dont add more than the given quantity.
I added methi seed also, but the taste is same.
Add onion and salt. Saute till the onion becomes translucent
Add tomato to this and saute it till tomato becomes soft.
Once the tomato becomes soft switch off the flame.
Once the mixture cools down transfer it to the mixer jar and grind it to smooth mixture.
After grinding transfer it to a bowl .
Keep the kadai add oil and add the items mentioned in "to temper" and add it to the chutney.
Chutney is ready to serve
