Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tbsp Kollu (Horsegram)
  • 2 Nos Onion
  • 2 Nos Tomato
  • 2 Nos Red Chilli
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • ½ tbsp Urad Dhal
  • ½ tbsp Channa Dhal
  • as required Salt
  • 4-5 Nos Fenugreek seeds (optinal)

To Temper

  • 1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
  • Few Curry Leaves
  • tbsp Urad Dhal

Instructions

  • Keep a kadai and add oil
  • Add kollu ( horsegram) channa dhal and uradh dhal and red chillies. Saute it till the dhal becomes golden
  • If you like you can also add methi seeds also. But dont add more than the given quantity.
  • I added methi seed also, but the taste is same.
  • Add onion and salt. Saute till the onion becomes translucent
  • Add tomato to this and saute it till tomato becomes soft.
  • Once the tomato becomes soft switch off the flame.
  • Once the mixture cools down transfer it to the mixer jar and grind it to smooth mixture.
  • After grinding transfer it to a bowl .
  • Keep the kadai add oil and add the items mentioned in "to temper" and add it to the chutney.
  • Chutney is ready to serve
