Servings 20 -22 biscuits
Ingredients
Wheat 1 cup (1cup -200ml)
Sugar 1 cup
Baking soda 1 tsp
Butter 3-4 tbsp
Ghee 3tbsp
Milk 2tbsp (optional)
Procedure
In a wide bowl add butter and sugar and mix it well with hand mixer
Once it is mixed add wheat flour.
Add ghee. If you like to add milk add milk at this stage.
But adding milk reduces the shelf life.
Do not mix it too much. Just crumble and mix it
Do not knead to make a dough just mix the ingredients and make the dough.
Now take a small gooseberry size ball from the dough.
Flatten and size it with your palm.
Place a heavy bottom kadai or pressure cooker.
Add the rock salt or sand in the bottom for about 1 or 2
inch.
Cover the pan and keep the stove in medium flame.
In the meanwhile make biscuits from the dough.
Take a mini idli plate and keep the biscuits in it.
Now keep the idli plate in the pan and cover it
Cover it and keep in the low flame for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes open the lid and check whether it is baked.
Once baked take out the idli plate and let it cool.
Once it is cooled take the biscuits from the plate using spoon
Now the biscuits are ready to serve
